Notes for: Vincent Bodine
Vincent was baptized at his parents' house by Rev. John C. Bechler. He was twenty-one at the time of his death. He is buried in a place called "Burbank Ground." This is on his death record. A Jacob Burbank of Castleton was appointed guardian of Vincent and Jacob Bodine on March 7, 1831 (SI Guardians, Book 1, p. 219). Who was this Jacob, the brother of Mary Ann Burbank? The Burbank burying ground might be part of the Moravian Cemetery on Staten Island. The record wasn't clear.
From Ronny Bodine:
Vincent Bodine was bapt. 31 May 1829 at the Moravian Church, Richmond County. He died unmarried and was buried in Burbanks Graveyard, Richmond County. His burial was recorded in the registers of the Moravian Church. Letters of administration were granted to his brother, Jacob Bodine, 3 June 1850, and his heirs were named as his brother, Jacob, and two half-sisters, Sarah Martling and Mary E. Martling (Richmond Co. Letters of Testamentary 4: 20).
