Notes for: Ann (Anna) M. Vought

Her birth and death dates are not certain. I have seen a transcription of her tombstone information on LDS film 953716. It says she is buried in Union Cemetery in Catawissa, PA. The death date it gives is January 22, 1892 at age 87 y, 5 m, and 7 d. That would make her birth date be about August 15, 1804. However, other information has said she died on July 22, 1892 at age 87 y, 5 m, and 27 d. (I don't know the original source of that info.) That would make her birth date be about January 25, 1805. I think this tombstone has not been read correctly.

There is an obituary for her in the Democratic Sentinal of Bloomsburg, Columbia Co., PA on January 29, 1892 (p. 3, col. 3). The obit says she died on "Thursday of last week." That would be January 21, 1892. Note that neither of these birth years (1804 or 1805) match the 1850 Columbia Co., PA Census info which says she was 41 years old (as well as the 1860, 1870, and 1880 censuses). My guess is that the obit info is correct - especially since it matches her age from four censuses.
