The John Bodine family was living 1880-1900 in Florence Township, Burlington County where John worked as a machinist. In 1900, Margaret Bodine reported she had borne 2 children, both of who were then living. His death was also reported in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 2 Feb 1910. In 1910-1930, Margaret Bodine, now widowed, was living with her son Thomas and his family in Trenton. John and Margaret Bodine were buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, Burlington County.

FLORENCE, Jan. 25.---John H. Bodine, a well known resident of this place for more than forty years, died yesterday from a complication of diseases, with which he had suffered for a year. He was in the sixty-seventh year of his age. Mr. Bodine was born in Bordentown, the son of the late Daniel and Charlotte Bodine. His wife, Mrs. Margaret Lukemire Bodine, and two sons survive. They are William H. Bodine of this place and Thomas E. Bodine of 546 South Clinton Avenue, Trenton. The funeral will he held from the residence of his son, William H. Bodine, Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment will be made in Odd Fellows' Cemetery, Burlington.

BODINE---At the residence of her son, Thomas E. Bodine, 546 S. Clinton Ave., Trenton, N.J., January 20th, 1940, Margaret, widow of John H. Bodine, in the 91st year of her age. The relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Slack Funeral Home, Burlington, N.J., on Wednesday, January 24th, at 2 o'clock. Interment at Odd Fellows' Cemetery, Burlington, N.J. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.

Mrs. Margaret L. Bodine, widow of John H. Bodine, one of the oldest residents of Florence, N.J., died yesterday morning after an illness of several weeks at the home of her son, Thomas, 546 South Clinton Avenue, this city. She was 91 years old. Born in Allentown, Mrs. Bodine took up residence in Florence 75 years ago, but during the past 30 years she spent half of each year residing with her son in this city and a son, William, in Florence. Besides her two sons, she is survived by a brother, John Lukmire, of this city; six grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. Her son, William, is cashier of the First National Bank at Florence. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from a funeral home in Burlington at 117 East Broad Street, with services by the Rev. Millard O. Pierce, of the First Baptist Church, this city. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
