Annie M. Irvin, 82 years old, died at Chaplin. She was the widow of Williamson Irvin, Captain in the Union Army. Mr. Irvin preceded her in death by several years. She is survived by three children, Annie E., . . . Isaac B. and C. F. Mrs. Irvin was a consistent and devoted member of Chaplin Fork Baptist Church, where services were held and burial in the church cemetery. . . . Mrs. Irvin lived in Chaplin in an old house built in 1792. The house was formerly constructed of logs and later weather board.

Although recorded as Amanda in the family Bible, she appears as Amantha in both her marriage record and her father's will.
