Notes for: Lucy (Lucinda) O. Bodine
There is a Lucinda Bodine who married a John Randolph Clendinen on February 21, 1873 in Pennsylvania. They had a son Samuel B. Clendenin in 1873 in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. FamilySearch.com also associates this couple with Samuel T. Bodine, the father of this Lucy. I will assume that Lucinda and Lucy are the same person.
There is some info on this family in the Best-Bodine files. They had another son, Robert C. Clendenning, born about 1878 in Pennsylvania. Some of this info was taken from the 1880 Census of Lewis Twp., Lycoming Co., PA (p. 43).

CLENDENNIN-BODINE. On the 14th inst. Lucy, daughter of Samuel Bodine to Mr. John R. Clendennin by Rev. H. G. Finney.

It becomes our sad duty to record the death of one of our most highly respected citizens, John R. Clendenin, who died on the 1st of June 1882 after severe suffering for the last three months of his life. He was the son of Robert Clendenin whose death was noticed in this paper some eight months ago. Mr. Clendenin was born on the 1st of March 1841. He was married on the 14th of February 1872 to Miss Lucy O. Bodine whom he leaves with their two little boys to mourn his untimely loss, besides three brothers and four sisters as well as a large circle of sympathizing relatives and friends.
