Notes for: Catherine (Katherine/Kate) J. Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

Newspaper Obituary, The Wellsboro Agitator (Wellsboro, Pa.) of Wednesday, 1 March 1899.
Miss Catherine J. Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Bodine, died yesterday morning, of heart-disease. Her health had been failing for several years and she suffered frequent and alarming attacks of sickness. On Monday morning she was on the street apparently in her usual health. She started to ride out to her home with her father about noon, and when they reached the brow of the hill in the outskirts of the borough she suddenly became unconscious, and Mr. Bodine took her into the home of Mr. Mack Phelps on the Dickinson farm. Miss Bodine remained in a comatose condition until her life passed away about 10:30 o'clock yesterday morning. She was about 22 years of age. She was a warm hearted and capable young woman and had many friends. The remains were taken to the home of her brother Fred M. Bodine, where the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.
