Joan,
Hello! I found many of your posts on the Ancestry boards. I'm hoping you might have information on my gg-grandmother, Margaret Bodine.
According to her death certificate, she was born on Mar 21 1841 in Bramford, Ontario, daughter of Albert W. Bodine.
Margaret married William Dymock in about 1865. William Dymock died in 1901. Margaret Bodine Dymock moved to Detroit, MI in about 1909 to live with her children who had immigrated earlier. Margaret died on Jun 22 1921 in Detroit, MI. She is buried with her husband and son in Oakland Cemetery, Mosa Twsp, Ontario.
I'm "stuck" on Margaret with nothing more than her father's name from her death certificate.
Perhaps you have information you could share?

I suspect that your Margaret Bodine is the daughter of Nicholas Bodine and Charlotte Sovereign. Margaret is found in the Mosa Twp., Middlesex Co., Ontario census with this family. [Can't find my notes as to which census but probably about 1851. Based on the census age I guessed her birth year as 1840 which is real close to your Margaret and in the same location. There is an Albert W. Bodine [1856-1909] in the family. He was the grandson of Nicholas's older brother, William. He was born in Michigan so whoever gave the information may have been confused.
Our Bodines are the only Bodine family in Ontario in the 1800s. Five Bodine siblings moved to the area near New London about 1811. Abraham, Amy [Best], Mary [Watson], and Elizabeth [McIntyre] and Nicholas. Nicholas settled in Mosa Twp, Middlesex Co. and the other four families settled in the next county over, Elgin Co. They came from Northumberland / Columbia Co. Pennsylvania.
You will find more on this family on my submission to WorldConnect. I would like to find more on Nicholas's family as I am trying to trace all the descendants of Jacob and Nancy [Catherine] Bodine, Nicholas' parents. I suggest that you google "Dave Bodine" who has collected a great deal of information on the Bodines.
