In June 1880, Nelson Bodine, age 19, lived in Owasco, Cayuga County with and working for Paul and Ida Ammerman. In June 1900, aged 38 and single, he lived in Hopewell, Ontario County working as a farm laborer. In April 1910, aged 48 and single, he lived with his sister and brother-in-law, Jennie and Arlington Bicksler in Manchester, Ontario County. Nelson Bodine was buried in Clarence Fillmore Cemetery, Clarence, Erie County.

Mr. and Mrs. John R. Wooden returned home on Friday from Rochester after being called there by the sudden death of Mrs. Wooden's brother, Nelson D. Bodine, on Wednesday. Funeral services were held on Friday with burial in Clarence.
