I believe I saw a needlework memorial that was done for this Hiram. I have a picture of it as it was posted at Ebay. The sampler said, "1847 Sacred to the Memory of Hiram Bodine Who died Nov 22 age 35, yrs. also his daughter Caroline died June 22 age 5 months Tho lost to memory dear." That Hiram's birth year would match this Hiram's. It's just a guess, but they could be one and the same.

In June 1850, Mary Ann Bodin, 34, lived in the 9th Ward of New York City with her children, Mary A. 6 and Hiram A. 4. The household included Mary's mother Caroline Dowing and her sister Elizabeth. In June 1860, still living in the 9th Ward: Mary Ann Bodine 45, Mary A. 16 and Hiram 14.

Take train from Thirtieth-st. at 9:55 a. m. Her remains will be taken to Newport, R. I. for interment. [Note: Her age at death, assuming the days were simply not noted, places her birth in Nov 1806.]
