Notes for: Grover Cleveland Bodine, Sr.

I had his birth date as about 1875. Info from RB gave it as Feb. 25, 1888. That comes from NJ WWI draft info which also gives his middle name as Cleveland.

Info on Grover and his wife comes from Renee Hampton Pavlick at "apavlick at citcom.net". Agnes was her grandfather's sister. Renee was on Grover's farm in the 1940's in Flemington, New Jersey. See one of her messages below.

Hi Dave,
I just reading your information on the Bodine Family and find a connection to my Hamptons. Agnes Hampton Bodine , wife of Grover Bodine was my grandfathers sister. I have some information on my side of the family if you would like it. I remember going to the Bodine farm when I was a very little girl. It was on RFD #3 in Flemington, N.J. As I remember the house it was a small white farm house with a screen door. Uncle Grover was very tan from working in the fields. He smiled all the time and had a real robust laugh. Aunt Agnes was rather small, but strong and was cooking in the kitchen. They had 2 children, Grover(Junior) and Margaret. Junior was a carbon copy of his Dad and Margaret was very shy, hiding behind her Mother. The only other thing I can remember is their bull who was very tame and was chewing on my sister's pigtails. If you would like some names and dates, let me know.
