Notes for: Malinda Tappan Bodine
There is a Malinda Bodine who married a John A. Campbell on October 16, 1833 at the DRC in Montgomery, New York. It is probably this Malinda. They are both listed as being from Crawford. This was later confirmed by a message from Ralph Weller. She was living in Wallkill in 1862. She was dismissed from the Montgomery Church on May 5, 1834. They were living in Crawford in 1832, Crawford in 1857, and Kingston in 1888.

John A. Campbell, a former resident of Middletown, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Amanda Hermance, in Kingston, Saturday, in his eightieth year. A good many years ago he carried on the carriage making business in South Centerville, this county and afterwards for a long lime conducted an undertaking business in Middletown and Wallkill, from which latter place he moved with his wife to Kingston in the spring of 1883 retiring from active business. His wife, Malinda Bodine, to whom he was married in 1833, died in April, 1888. Three children survive him, Mrs. Hermance, of Kingston, Mrs. P. E. Whited, of Sparrowbush, Orange County, and Jesse P. Campbell, who resides in Philadelphia. Jesse B. Campbell, a brother, resides at Edenville. In January 1880 Mr. Campbell had a severe altack of congestion ot the liver, from which he never fully recovered. He and his wife were both members of the Fair Street Reformed Church. The funeral service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church in this city, Wednesday.
John and Malinda Bodine were buried Hillside Cemetery, Middletown, Orange County.
