Notes for: Sarah Jane Bodine

One LDS record had her born on December 1, 1828. Her last name is spelled "Alber" in her father's will, but her husband's name has been spelled as Allbee and Albee. The correct sp does appear to be Albee.

Howard J. Albee died 11 May 1902 in Albee, Saginaw County aged 77. Stated to be a native of New York, he was married and the son of Howard Albee and Venny Fay.
Sarah J. Albee died 8 March 1912 in Albee, Saginaw County aged 76. Stated to be a native of Pennsylvania, she was widowed and the daughter of Wm. Podin and Culeomn Eagle.

Albee--Mrs. Sarah, widow of the late Howard Albee, passed away at the family home in Albee township Thursday evening after a six weeks' illness from old age and a complication of troubles. She was born in Groveland, N.Y., 78 years ago and located in Albee 30 years ago. She is survived by three sons, Charles M. of Saginaw, William H. of Albee and Montreville of Allcia, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie S. Long of Canton, O.; Mrs. Mattie H. Reed of Saginaw and Miss Zoe D. at home. She was a woman devoted to her family and home and had a host of friends. The funeral will take place from the family home Sunday at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Albee cemetery.
