Obituary, Covington Republican (Covington, Ind.) of 21 June 1907.
Ruth Stanton Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bodine, was born January 17, 1893, and died June 17th, 1907, aged 14 years and 5 months. She had always lived with her parents on the farm south of this city, and graduated from the common schools with honor at the age of thirteen. She was taken ill last fall and through nine months of suffering she was patient and lovable never murmuring of her lot. Her last words were of comfort to her parents, whom she often said had been so good to her, and her influence for good will ever be remembered by her loving brother. She was kind and sociable with all and was a bright, sweet bud plucked from earth to bloom in heaven. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Palmer, were he'd from the Fulton Township home, Wednesday morning, interment following in Mt. Hope Cemetery, near this city.
