June 1, 1999: Helen L. Bodine, 80, of Haines City, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, in Lake Wales.
She was a native of Hainesburg, N.J., who came to the area from New Jersey in 1984. She was a purchasing agent in the food industry, and attended Haines City Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harry J. Bodine of Haines City; three sons, Harry James Bodine of Stewartsville, N.J., Frederick Russell Bodine of La Grange, Ga., and Charles G. Bodine; a sister, Betty Linaberry of South Plainsfield, N.J.; and a brother, Sam Linaberry of Belvedere, N.J.

Helen Linaberry Bodine, 80, of Haines City, Fla., died Jan. 24 in Grove Center Nursing Home in Lake Wales, Fla., where she lived the past three years. Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Hainesburg, N.J., she was a resident of Florida for 15 years, moving from New Jersey. She was a member of Haines City Methodist Church in Haines City. She is survived by her husband, Harry J.; three sons, Harry James of New Village, N.J., Frederick Russell of Hogansville, Ga., and Charles G. of Hamlen, Pa.; a sister Betty Linaberry of South Plainfield, N.J.; a brother, Sam Linaberry of Belvidere ; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, in Belvidere Methodist Church, 219 Hardwick St., Belvidere. Arrangements are by the Dundee-Haines Funeral Home, 202 Main St., Dundee, Fla.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ for Harry J. who died on Jan. 5, 2004, and his wife, Helen I. Bodine who died on Jan. 24, 1999. Born: Helen was born on Sept. 3, 1918 In Hainesburg, NJ, a daughter of the late Russell and Margaret Linaberry. Harry was born on Aug. 25, 1920 in Belvidere, NJ, a son of the late Harry and Alice Dugan Bodine. Personal: Helen worked for M&M Mars in Hackettstown, NJ. Harry was the owner and operator of the Rosehill Service Station in Phillipsburg, NJ. They had resided in Washington and Phillipsburg, NJ before moving to Haines City, Fl in 1985. Mr. Bodine also served in the Army during World War II. Survivors: three sons, Jim of Bangor, Pa, Charles of Lake Ariel, Pa and Fred of Hogansville, Ga; Helen's sister, Betty Linaberry of S. Plainfield, NJ; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services: Arrangements are under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere , NJ. Memorials: may be made in their memories to the American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054.
