Courtland Yardley Goodnoe, 78, Nokomis, died Dec. 16, 2001. He was born March 7, 1923, in Newtown, Pa., and came to Nokomis in 1998 from Stroudsburg, Pa. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion and Cherry Valley Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Thelma; daughters Gail Palazzo of Allentown, Pa., Carol of New York, Janet Freeman of Memphis, Tenn., Joyce Buschur of Naples and Cindy McCarty of Hisperia, Calif.; sons Gary of Vista, Calif., Alan of Levittown, Pa., William Bodine Jr. of Kennesaw, Ga. and David Bodine of Mountain Home, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service will be later in Pennsylvania. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742.

Ruth Jean Bodine, 87, of Naples, Fla., passed away on Nov. 30, 2008. Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Schillo. She moved to Philadelphia and later retired to Naples. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, William Robert Bodine; two brothers, Lewis Schillo and his wife, Mary, Frackville, and Bert Schillo and his wife, Elaine, Chalfont. She was interred in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville, in June.

Thelma Goodnoe, 84, of Lake Village in Nokomis, FL, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013. She was born December 8, 1928 in New Jersey. Thelma moved to Florida in 1998 from PA. She is survived by sons; William R. Bodine, Jr. and David Bodine; step-children, Gail, Carol, Janet, Joyce and Alan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Courtland and step-son, Garry. A memorial service will be held in January. The date and location to be announced.
