From Titusville Herald (Titusville, Penn.) of 27 Oct 1953: Geraldine Arline Ford, daughter of Mrs. H. A. Bodine of 108 E. Spruce Pl. and Isaiah Proper, son of Mrs. Cynthia Jane Proper of Diamond Rt. 2, were married yesterday at the Proper home by Rev. J. L. Murray of the Chapmanville Methodist Church.

So, this firmly establishes their date of marriage. The place given was the Proper home at Diamond Route 2. It took a little digging, but this Route was in Wallaceville...

Spruce Pl. and Isaiah Proper, son of Mrs. Cynthia Jane Proper of Diamond Rt. 2, were married yesterday at the Proper home by Rev. J. L. Murray of the Chapmanville Methodist Church. [Note: Diamond Rt. 2 is in Wallaceville, Venango County. The date cited in the following obituary is in error.]

Mrs. Geraldine A. Proper, 87, a former resident of 414 May Ave. and most recently of the Meadville Care Center, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10,1992, at Meadville Medical Center (Liberty Street). She was admitted there on Saturday. Mrs. Proper was born in Pleasantvine on Aug. 31,1904, a daughter of Harry and Verna Tubbs Bodine. She was a graduate of Pleasantville High School with the class of 1923. Her first marriage was to Charles E. Ford, who preceded her in death. She later married Isaiah Proper on Dec. 26, 1953, at Wallaceville. Mr. Proper died Jan. 9, 1985. Mrs. Proper was formerly employed by the J.B. Goldstein Store as a clerk, and later the G.C. Murphy Co. until her second marriage. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Donald A. and Janice Ford of Titusville; a granddaughter, Mrs. Scott (Lori) Brown of Evanville, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. William (Frances) Brecht of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Proper was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert M. Bodine and Walter Bodine; and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Fornoff and Mrs. Theodore (Margaret) Peebles. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there at 1 p.m. on Thursday with Rev. Larry Thomas, pastor of Titusville Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery.
