Notes for: Henry 'Keith' Bodine
H. Keith Bodine was an electrical engineer.* He is the one who revised the genealogy on his side of the Bodines and published it. I have gotten a lot of good information from those records.
There is some conflicting information about Henry's wife's date of birth. It should be Nov. 8, 1889. Here is what Ronny wrote on this indicating that the 1900 date does not pan out very well.
Regarding the dob of his wife Gladys. The SSN DBI gives the date as 8 Nov 1900. She was 28 in Jan 1920 and 30 in April 1930. In 1930, Gladys says she was 1st married at age 21, that means 1921. Henry said he was 1st married at age 24, that is in 1910... If born in 1900, she would hardly have borne Sydney at age 12.
Here is some info from Jack Jennings about this:
About Aunt Glady's DOB - According to the notation in our family Bible, Aunt Gladys was born November 8, 1889. She was the oldest of my father's sisters. This is also the date found in "The Jennings of Haddonfield" by James R. Jennings , May 1967, Pheonix, Arizona.
*Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Volume 29, Part 2, by American Institute of Electrical Engineers 1910, Page 22. This source says he was resident electrical engineer with the New York Auburn and Lansing Railroad Company, Ithaca, NY (sent in by Jack Jennings).
From Ronny Bodine:
Keith Bodine was living 1910 with his mother and siblings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, employed there as an electrical engineer with a coke company. He registered for the World War I draft in June 1917 in Philadelphia. In 1920-1930, the family was living in Pennsauken Township, Camden County, New Jersey. In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Pennsauken Township and an employee of the Philadelphia Electric Company.
