Notes for: Caroline Bodine

I didn't have parents for her, but from looking at the 1850 Census of Chester Township, Morris County, New Jersey, I am guessing that this Caroline must be the one mentioned there, a daughter of William A. Bodine. This was later confirmed by Midge _____, her descendant. Midge says that Jacob and Caroline moved to Bureau County, Illinois in 1855 where they stayed until death. Info on this family comes from "Early Germans" by Rev. Chambers and "History Book of Morris County, New Jersey."

My grt grn mo was Caroline BODINE,b. 6 Nov. 1824, Morris Co., N.J. I haven't found her death date yet, in Bureau Co., Il. She was the dau of William Abbott BODINE,b 5 May 1797,N.J. Died after 1880 in Bureau Co. IL. Married Rachel VAN ZANDT b. 25 Jan. 1797. She died 11 Sept. 1863 Oakland Co., Mich. William Abbott BODINE's father was Gilbert BODINE b. circa 1763, N.J. married circa 1786 to Catherine DEAN b. 18 Sept. 1767, died 9 Feb. 1851.
