The Grant family was living 1930 in Bokchito, Bryan County, Oklahoma where Marshall engaged in farming.

Marshall Allen Grant, 62, pioneer Bryan county resident, died at the McKinney Veterans hospital Sunday after an illness of two years. Funeral rites will be held at the Church of Christ here Thursday at 3:30 p.m., with Dale McCook officiating, and burial under direction of Murray Funeral service will at Highland cemetery. Military services will be held at the graveside. Pallbearers will be Elmo Teel, Bob Wallace, Isaac Wooten, Homer Brown, Frank Chajk and Clydes Eades. Born in Blue in Indian Territory, Mr. Grant had spent all his life in Bryan county. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Inez; three sons, William, Philadelphia; Harold, Corcoran, Calif.; and Merle, Durant; a daughter, Mrs. R. H. Roper, Durant; three brothers, George, Clovis, N.M., and Robert and Thomas, Oklahoma City; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Ansiel, Mrs. Mary Hardage and Miss Bessie Grant, Calif.; and Mrs. Maggie Parker and Mrs. Myrtle Taylor of Oklahoma City; and 10 grandchildren.

Service is set for 2 p.m. Monday in the Murray Funeral Home chapel for Mary Inez Grant, 84, who had resided at the Four Seasons Nursing Home. Mrs. Grant died Friday in Bryan Memorial Hospital. Van Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Born March 20, 1897 in Bonham, Mrs. Grant was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She had resided in Bryan County most of her life. Survivors include three sons, William A., Philadelphia; Harold, of Corcoran, Calif.; and Merle, New Orleans; a daughter, Clara Lee Roper, Durant; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Bearers will be Lewis Jones, E. F. Hawkins, Jack Small, Fred Mashburn, Amon Kinsey and Ernest Sturch.
