Notes for: Catherine (Hetty/Holly?) Ent
The April 4, 1882 edition of the Hunterdon County Democrat says she died at home near Stockton. This is described as being in the Delaware Valley. It says her husband died "three years since, in the 88th year." That doesn't match the info I have on his death date, though. Two of Catherine's neighbors are mentioned in the article, Simon Myers and Catharine McLane. A Catharine Dilts had died in that area not long before.
Here is a picture of Catherine's tombstone in Sandy Ridge Baptist Cemetery near Stockton in Hunterdon Co., NJ. It was sent to me by Brian Bodine. I think the tombstone reads, "Catherine, wife of Benjamin Bodine, Died May 27, 1882, In the 89th year of her age." This reading needs checking, though. There is something else below that I can't read.
