Tunis was baptized at his parents' house by Rev. John C. Bechler.

Tunis Bodine was bapt. 13 Dec 1836 at the Moravian Church, Richmond County. He, age 14, was living with his parents in Castleton, Richmond County. He cannot be located in the censuses of 1860 or 1870. Tunis reportedly he died 23 July 1871 in the Washington Territory, but the origin of this claim cannot be verified.
