Notes for: Abraham ("Abram") Bodine
The church where he was baptized is actually the United Brethren Congregation, but it was commonly called the Moravian or Morabian Church. The dates for his birth and baptism seem to be messed up in copies of the records. He was baptized by Rev. Nathaniel Brown.
From Ronny Bodine:
Abraham Bodine was bapt. 19 May 1808 at the Moravian Church, Richmond County where Abraham Bodine and Abby Ann Kinsy were also married. Abby Ann Kinsy was the daughter of Benjamin and Susan Ann Kinsy. The death of Abby Bodine from heart disease was recorded in the 1875 New York State census. Abby was buried in the Moravian Church Cemetery, Richmond County. Abraham Bodine took part in the California gold rush of 1849, but had returned to Richmond County in 1850 when recorded there on the census in Castleton engaged in farming. In 1860 and 1870, the Bodine family was living in Northfield, Richmond County.
