Hannah Bodine was living with her parents in 1880. The "New Jersey Mirror" of 28 May 1890 reported the funeral of Beulah Bodine at the residence of her son-in-law George Barbee at Unionville, Burlington County, 29 May 1890. George Barbee came to America in 1872 and in 1873 won the inaugural Preakness States aboard the horse “Survivor” by 10 lengths, a record that stood until 2004. He had a total of 136 career wins and won the Preakness twice more in 1876 and 1883. He was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 1996.

Hannah Bodine Barbee, age 94. One of the oldest citizens of Mount Holly, she is the widow of the late George J. Barbee, a nationally known jockey. Survived by a son and three daughters.
