Notes for: John A. L. Bodine
The study by E. P. Bodine says he died leaving no descendants. John is listed as "of Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania" at FamilySearch.
John L. Bodine is in the 1880 Census of Lodi, Seneca Co., NY. He is in the household of his sister, Phebe Lott, wife of Peter Lott.
This family is discussed in Edson Payson Bodine's article "The History of the Branch of the Bodine Family Founded by Cornelius Bodine, A Soldier of the Revolution, and a Pioneer of the Lake Country of Central New York" (1897). It is not a well-documented article, but the later genealogies are probably pretty accurate. His earlier genealogies may have more mistakes. He does not list any family for this John Bodine.
From Ronny Bodine:
John Bodine was aged 11 in 1850, 21 in 1860, 44 in 1880, 60 in 1900 and aged 68 at the time of his death in 1906. John A. L. Bodine was buried in Ovid Cemetery, Seneca County. In June 1900, John A. L. Bodine, single, lived alone in Lodi, Seneca County, working as a day laborer. His birth date was reported as June 1839 and his age as 60. His grave marker notes his age as 68.
