On 5 June 1917, Charles Preston Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Geneva, Ontario County, New York. He reported he was born 20 April 1895 in Denver, Colorado, worked as a clerk for Empire Gas & Electric Company and was single. In Jan 1920, he (age 24 and single) lived with his mother in Canandaiqua, Ontario County still working as a clerk for the gas company. In April 1930, Charles Bodine, age 34 and single, now was the superintendant of the gas company and still lived with his mother and sister. Charles Bodine was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. His grave stone records that he served as a Wagoner with the 266th Military Police Company during World War 1.

GENEVA--Memorial services for Charles P. Bodine of 40 Park PI. were at 2 p.m. today in the chapel at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. J. Richard Hart officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canandaigua. Mr. Bodine died in Geneva General Hospital Sunday, following a short illness.
