John W. Boyer, 24, of Lodi, NY, farmer, born in Lodi, son of Hugh & Ruth Boyer AND Frances Chapin Bodine, 20, of Drummonsburg, born in Denver, Colo., dau. of Chas. Bodine & Harriet Chapin, were married 14 Nov 1912 at Trumansburg by Seth Cook, Minister.
In June 1917, John W. Boyer registered for the World War 1 draft in Lodi, Seneca County, New York. He reported he was born 18 March 1888 in Lodi, was a farmer and married with 2 children. In Jan 1920, John W. Boyer lived with his family in Lodi, Seneca County engaged in farming.

LODI---John W. Boyer, 74, a former supervisor for the Town of Lodi and a former member of the ABC board in Seneca County, died early Tuesday at his home. A life resident of Seneca County he was a director of the First National Bank of Ovid and a member of the Lodi Masonic Lodge. At the time of his death he was a member of the town board here. For many years, Mr. Boyer operated a service station, retiring six years ago. He served on the county Board of Supervisors from 1938 to 1939. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Frances Bodine Boyer; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Salzer, a son, Charles H. Boyer, both of Lodi, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Turn of Trucksville, Pa , and brother, Budd Boyer of Lodi. Services will be at 2 p.m. in the John D. Covert Funeral Home, Ovid, the Rev George Johnson, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m. Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Friends wishing may make contributions to the Heart Fund.

LODI---Mrs. Frances B. Boyer, 82, of 40 Park PI., Geneva, died unexpectedly Sunday, Apr. 28, 1974 at her home after suffering an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the John D. Covert Funeral Home, Ovid. The Rev. George Johnson, former pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Lodi officiated. Burial was in West Lodi Cemetery. Mrs. Boyer was born in Denver, Colo., daughter of the late Charles and Harriet Chapin Bodine. She was the widow of John W. Boyer. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Lodi and had resided nearly all her life in the Lodi area, moving to Geneva in 1971. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Salzer of Willard; a sister, Dorothy of Geneva; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
