Notes for: Ralph Bodine

I am guessing that this is the Ralph Bodine buried at Wayne Cemetery in Tyrone, New York.

Here is an abstract of his will from the Schuyler Co., NY site:

BODINE Ralph - will dated 4 Feb 1870 - probate date 7 Mar 1870 Tyrone. Mother Elizabeth Bodine house & lot in Wayne village; sisters Lois Doughty & Margaret Bailey; brother George. - Executors: brother George Bodine & Abel K Hollick. - Witnessed by David Swarthout & Samuel Pitcher both of Tyrone.

This family is discussed in Edson Payson Bodine's article "The History of the Branch of the Bodine Family Founded by Cornelius Bodine, A Soldier of the Revolution, and a Pioneer of the Lake Country of Central New York" (1897). It is not a well-documented article, but the later genealogies are probably pretty accurate. His earlier genealogies may have more mistakes. He does not list any family for this Ralph Bodine.

From Ronny Bodine:

BODINE Ralph - will dated 4 Feb 1870 - probate date 7 Mar 1870 Tyrone. Mother Elizabeth Bodine house & lot in Wayne village; sisters Lois Doughty & Margaret Bailey; brother George. - Executors: brother George Bodine & Abel K Hollick. - Witnessed by David Swarthout & Samuel Pitcher both of Tyrone.

Ralph Bodine was aged 18 in June 1850 and 27 in June 1860. The 1870 Mortality Schedule for Schuyler County recorded: Ralph Bodine died Feby 1870 aged 37 of consumption.

Burials in Wayne Village Cemetery (aka Wayne Baptist Cemetery), Schuyler County:
Ralph Bodine died Feb. 5, 1870 age 48 (perhaps transcribed incorrectly as his age should have been 37 or 38).
