The family Bible says he was 72 at the time of this death.
The Bible records below come from the Bible of Wilson L. Bodine and his wife Rebecca Baner. There is also a Bible record of their daughter Ann G. (Bodine) Crammer, and their son, Jesse Evans Bodine. Ann was married to Samuel Weeks Crammer. Jesse was married to Maria Mott. I found these records on LDS film #856856 which is a microfilm of genealogical records from eastern and western Pennsylvania. I think these records were all contributed by D.A.R. members. About 2/3 of the way through this film there are fifteen or so pages contributed by Miss Emily V. Smith. She was the Chairman of Genealogical Records for the Peter Muhlenberg Chapter, N.S.D.A.R. The title of her contribution was "Robert Smith and Allied Families." The description says, "Copies of records from an old Account Book (1769), Family Bibles (5), three dated Sillhouettes and other records found in the Woodbury Courthouse (County-Seat of Gloucester County, New Jersey) and in the Pennsylvania Historical Society (Philadelphia)." I believe these three Bibles were in the possession of Miss Smith. She at least had the Jesse Evans Bodine Bible. Wilson was Miss Smith's great-grandfather. Ann G. (Bodine) Crammer was her grandmother. Elisha Collins Smith and Frankalena Woodward (Crammer) Smith were her parents. Miss Emily V. Smith was born February 27, 1885.

There is more information on who the Crammers married and from two Smith Bibles that I did not add here.
From Ronny Bodine:
The Jesse Bodine family was living from 1850 in Trenton, Mercer County where Jesse was employed in 1850 as a paper maker, in 1860-1870 as an express agent, and in 1880 as a Justice of the Peace. His death was noted in the "New Jersey Law Journal," 19: 317. In 1900, Maria Bodine, now widowed, was living in Trenton with her three unmarried daughters. She reported she had borne 6 children, but only 3 were then living. In April 1910, now aged 86, Maria Bodine was still living in Trenton and reported that of her 6 children, only 2 were then living. Jesse and Maria Bodine were buried in Mercer Cemetery, Trenton, Mercer County.
His death was reported in the Trenton "Evening Times" of 14 Sept 1896.
DEATH OF SQUIRE BODINE
The Old Justice of the Peace was a Unique Trenton Character.
Jesse E. Bodine, the aged and well known justice of the peace and proprietor of the Employment Agency, at 105 East State Street, died at his home in Hillcrest last night, at midnight, after being ill for a week. The funeral will take place on Wednesday and the interment will take place at Mercer Cemetery.
Squire Bodine had the reputation of being an octogenerian, but was only seventy-two years of age at the time of his death. For years he has been a familiar figure about town and newspaper men have ofttimes "written him up." When asked for news the squire had a peculiar and amusing way of frankly regretting that '"nobody is bad anymore and there ain't no news. " He would say this in such a manner that it would seem to imply he desired petty crimes to increase, notwithstanding his religious prominence. He was a member of the State Street M. E. Church and last spring was made a local deacon.
The peace justice had been married over fifty years having wedding before attaining his majority. His Immediate relatives who survive him are Maria, his wife, Emma, Belle and Jennie, his daughters, Budd S. Bodine and John Bodine, his brothers. Emma, his eldest daughter is the principal of the Columbus school.
A week ago today this unique Trentonian was in too poor health to go to his office and remained at home, but not in bed until Wednesday, when he was obliged to take to his bed and he did not leave it again.
The aged squire had been failing in health since his fourth daughter, Minnie Bodine, a school teadier, died last winter.
Dr. Ernest Dickinson attended him in his last illness and noted that, after Wednesday, the squire's mind wandered and he could recognize no one. His death, the doctor adjudged, as formerly stated, was due to heart trouble.
