Notes for: Henry H. Bodine, Rev.
According to "Area History: History of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania," by W. W. Munsell, 1881 (Township and Borough Histories, pp. 156-176), Rev. H. H. Bodine was serving Minersville M.E. Church in 1879 and 1880 and also wrote a short history of that church for W.W. Munsell.
From Ronny Bodine:
Henry Bodine and his family were living 1860 in Aston, Delaware County, Pennsylvania where Henry served as a Methodist clergyman. In 1900, Henry and Anna Bodine were living in Philadelphia were Henry was still engaged as a minister. Anna stated she had borne 1 child, then living. In March 1904, Henry Bodine corresponded with Mary Elizabeth Sinnott and wrote that his only child, James, was married with three daughters and thus the "name will soon disappear from my side of the family." In 1910, Henry and Anna Bodine were living in Ocean City, Cape May County, New Jersey, where Henry was now a retired preacher.
