Notes for: Helen Dunbar Bodine

In 1860-1870, Helen Bodine was working as a school teacher in Philadelphia. In 1870, she was living with her sister Jennie Bodine. Helen Bodine never married. The will of Helen Dunbar Bodine, of Philadelphia, was written 13 May 1905 and proved 24 March 1911. All of her property was devised to her brother Rev. Henry H. Bodine, of Ocean City, NJ., who was also appointed executor. It was noted in the probate that the testator died at 6 AM on 11 March 1911 (Philadelphia Wills, 324: 366). Her death was also recorded in the Philadelphia Death Records for 1911.

BODINE.---On March 11, 1911, Miss HELEN D. BODINE. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at the residence of her brother-in-law, Mr. Charles Matthews, 1727 N. 15th st. on Tuesday morning, at 11 o'clock precisely. Interment private.
