Notes for: Francis (Frank) W. Bodine
He was still at home in the 1860 Census. Although, the Rebecca (31 years old) and the Mary (16 years old) could possibly be Frank's wife and daughter. However, Daniel is listed as the head of household. He was 74 years old. That seems a little old to be listed that way. FamilySearch listed a Frank Bodine, born 1815 in Burlington, New Jersey, to a Daniel Bodine.
I wonder if this is not the Francis W. Bodine who is listed in the 1880 Census of Northampton, Burlington Co., NJ. He is a farmer, age 68, single, and born in NJ. Both his parents were born in NJ, too. His sister, Rebecca Bodine, is listed (45, NJ, NJ). She is single. His sister-in-law, Mary K. Bodine, is listed (60, PA, NJ, NJ). Two others are listed: William D. Woolston (19, NJ, NJ, NJ, laborer) and Viola Atkinson (14, NJ, NJ, NJ, servant). This seems to be a pretty good match to this Francis Bodine, but the data is not exact.
I had his name as Francis M. Bodine, but Ronny Bodine listed him as Francis W. Bodine. I will go with that.
From Ronny Bodine:
The will of Francis Bodine, of Northampton Township, dated 7 March 1884, was proved 25 May 1892. Therein, his sole heir was his sister, Rebecca L. Bodine, who was also the executrix with Thomas B. Grandy (Burlington Co. Wills, V: 471). Francis Bodine lived all of his life in Burlington County engaged in farming. See his obituary in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 11 May 1892.
Burials in Mount Holly Cemetery, Mount Holly, Burlington County.
