Dave,

In your genealogy you have James D. Shreve marrying Rebecca H. Bodine, as do we. But we have James' brother, Thomas D. Shreve marrying Rebecca's sister Hannah. You show Hannah marrying a James Warner. My wife is descended from Thomas D. Shreve, and we know James and Thomas were brothers (through several census').

Can you help us clear this up?

I can provide records for everything from 1850 on, but have never been able to find a marriage record for Thomas D. Shreve and Hannah Bodine…it just seemed to fit very well that James and Thomas married sisters.

Thanks well in advance! J

From Ronny Bodine:

The Warner family was living 1870 in Mount Holly, Northampton Township, Burlington County where James engaged in farming. Hannah Warner, now a widow, was living 1880 in Northampton Township, Burlington County with her daughter Mary. See her obituary in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 12 May 1886. Their daughter, Mary P. Warner, of Mount Holly, Burlington County, corresponded with Mary Elizabeth Sinnott in January and February 1904 and furnished details about her family.

Children: Hannah (Feb 1843), Mary P. (Nov 1845).
