Samuel Slim served on the Chester Township Committee 1850-1851. In 1860, Samuel and Sarah Slim operated a hotel in Chester Township, Burlington County. Samuel reported real estate valued at $13,000. Samuel and Sarah Slim were buried in Trinity Church Cemetery, Moorestown, Burlington County. The marriage of William Maxwell and Sarah Bodine was reported in the New Jersey "Mirror" of 2 Feb 1820. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. William B. Maxwell, corresponded with Mary Elizabeth Sinnott in February 1902 and furnished family information which was included in Sinnott's "Annals of the Sinnott, Rogers, Coffin, Corlies, Reeves, Bodine and allied families," Philadelphia: 1905.
