Notes for: Peter Bodine

This may be the Peter Bodine Find A Grave has listed as died in 1818 and born in 1778. Someone probably just misread the stone or it is not very readable.

Sinnott's "Annals...", p. 167 report "Peter Bodine, said to have died without a family." Peter Bodine was buried in Cranbury's First Presbyterian Church Cemetery where his grave marker reads Peter Bodine died Jan. 12, 1848 age 50 years. An inventory of the estate of Peter Bodine, of Monroe Township, Middlesex County was made by James Dye on 29 Feb 1848. Peter W. Dye was appointed administrator on 17 March 1848. His estate was appraised at $18.26 and included a 'lot of carpenter tools' valued at $2.50 (Middlesex County Inventories I: 142, File 12379L).
