Ronny Bodine believes Vincent's place of death to be Middlesex County, NJ, where he was buried. He was in Middlesex County in 1830 and when Mercer County was created later on his widow was living there. Elizabeth managed to keep such a low profile I have been unable to find her in 1850 or 1860, tho she lived to 1866.
NOTE from Dave Bodine: I found this online about the village of Milford: "Through most of the 1800's, the village was called Scrabbletown or Milford. After 1890, the village took the name "Etra" after its most prominent resident, Edward Taylor' Rosel Applegate (1831 - 1915). Applegate served as a judge in the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas and as a New Jersey Assemblyman."

BIRTH. In 1793, Vincent Bodine was listed as aged 20 in a Middlesex County Militia list at the same time that his brother James was aged 40. James's age would place his birth at 1752/3. It is known from the record of his baptism that he was born 10 March 1755. At the time of the 1830 census, Vincent's age was 60 to 69, so born 1761 to 1770. His grave marker notes he died aged 67 on 28 April 1833, thus born 1765 or 1766.
The marriage of Vincent Bodine and Elizabeth Brotherton in October 1799 appears in the Record of Returns of Marriages, 1795-1799, kept in the office of the Clerk of the County of Middlesex. The exact day of the marriage was not recorded.
Elizabeth Brotherton was the daughter of William and Mary (Mount) Brotherton. The will of William Brotherton of South Brunswick Township of 9 Sept 1825 was proved 30 Sept 1825 and named his wife Mary, son John Brotherton and daughters Betsey Berdine, Jane Cole, Polly Applegate and Nancy Cook. (Middlesex Co. Wills, C: 82). The will of Mary Brotherton of South Brunswick Township of 20 April 1832 named only members of her side of the family including mentioning her brother Joseph Mount. Vincent Bodine appears on tax lists of Middlesex County as a resident of East Windsor Township, June 1808 to June 1821.

15: 180. 30 July 1821. Abraham Van Arsdalen, High Sheriff, to Vincent Bodine, 75 acres for $100.01 in Woodbridge Twp., his being the high bid on the land once owned by Peter L. Houghwout who was convicted of various offenses and fined, whereupon his property was seized and auctioned. Rec. 11 Sept 1821.

Vincent Bodine died intestate 23 April 1833, the date of his death inscribed on his gravestone in Cranbury, noted below. His family, however, is accounted for in a final deed:
27: 355. 23 June 1834. Elizabeth Bodine, Widow, James Bodine, Vincent, William, Peter, Nancy & Kitty Eliza Bodine, children & heirs of Vincent Bodine, late of East Windsow, Middlesex County to Vincent H. Norton of Lamberton, Burlington County. For $125, sells "All that certain messauge, house & lot of land containing one acre more or less situate in the said township of East Windsor Middlesex County whereof the said Vincent Bodine died seized the same being subject to a mortgage to Thomas Slack bearing date November 16, 1820 to secure the sum of Ninety dollars with interest mortgage is now in the hands & possession of the said John H. Norton and upon which there remains due the said principal sum together with arrears of interest from April 1, 1829."
The document was signed in the presence of Richard Norton with an "X" by all named parties, i.e. Elizabeth Bodine, Ann Bodine, James Bodine, William Bodine, Vincent Bodine, Peter Bodine, Catherine E. Bodine.
"Be it remembered that on the fifth day of July AD eighteen hundred & thirty four before me Samuel R. Hamilton, Master in Chancery of this State personally appeared Richard Norton known to me who alleging himself to be conscientiously scrupulus of taking an oath upon his solem affirmation doth say that he saw the said Elizabeth James Vincent William Peter Nancy & Kitty E. Bodine on the 23 & 24 days of June last severally sign their names to the foregoing instrument the contents previously made known to them and that they severally acknowledged that they signed sealed & delivered the same as their volumtary act & deed to & for the uses & purposes therein expressed and that he subscribed his name as a witness thereunto at the last date. /s/ Richard Norton.

On 22 Feb 1838, West Windsor Township and part of East Windsor Township were taken to be included in the newly created Mercer County.
On 31 Aug 1857, in Mercer County, New Jersey, Elizabeth Bodine, age 81, widow of Vincent Bodine, applied for a bounty land warrant and described her husband's military service. Vincent Bodine had volunteered at Cranbury in Sept 1794 and served as a Private in a company of Dragoons commanded by Captain Richard Handley, in the New Jersey Cavalry commanded by General Joseph Bloomfield, during the Pennsylvania or Whiskey Insurrection of 1794 (BLWT 84190-160-55).

Although Elizabeth Bodine lived until 1866, her whereabouts in 1850 and 1860 remains undiscovered.

From New Jersey Death Records:
Betsey Bodine, daughter of Wm. Brotherton, died April 1866 in East Windsor, Mercer County, aged 90 years.
Mary Elizabeth Sinnott in her "Annals..." p. 167 notes about Vincent Bodine and his family "They lived at Milford, southeast of Hightstown, New Jersey." She then names 7 children, Ann, Catherine, Eliza, James, William, Peter and Vincent. These names are confirmed by the previously cited 1834 deed and establishes that Catherine and Eliza were the same person, thus 6 children survived the death of their father in 1833. She erred however when stating they lived in "Milford, southeast of Highstown" which is actually far northwest of Hightstown, intending to mean Millstone in Monmouth County. Hightstown is in Mercer County. These places are right where Mercer County, Monmouth County and Middlesex County all come together. So, it seems the Vincent Bodine family lived right in that confluence of counties.
