Notes for: Helen (Hyltje) Bodine

FTM CD #401, Marriage Index of Selected Areas of NY, has an Esther Bodine marrying a Thomas Graham on April 14, 1764 in the Province of New York. This is the date of the bond, I think (New York Marriages, v. 8, p. 154). His name also appears as Thomas Kremes. He was born about 1738, probably in New York. Her name was given as Hester Bodyn. However, I think this Hyltje must have died before March 8, 1750 since she is not mentioned in Hyla Bodine's will. Mary, her sister, is in the will.

Heyltje (Helen) Bodine was baptized 29 Feb 1744 at the DRC of New York City. Her sponsors were Abraham Bensen and Heyltje Smith, widow of Vincent Bodin. As she was not named in the 1750 will of her grandmother, Heyltje Bodine, it would appear she had died before then.
