Notes for: George Milburn Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

Milburn G. Bodine was living 1930 in Clear Creek, Sevier County, Arkansas engaged in farming. He was single and his sister Edith was living with him. He was buried as George M. Bodine in Clear Creek Cemetery, Sevier County. His grave marker bears the dates 1911-1975 and notes he served in World War II. George Bodine had enlisted at Fort Sill, Oklahoma on 12 March 1942 as a Private in the U.S. Army. He gave his birthdate as 9 April 1911, yet his birth was recorded in Texas as 9 April 1906. It would appear that George perhaps altered his age so as to be able to enlist in the Army. At the time of his enlistment he was single.

I also know that George Milburn died without ever marrying or having children. He was a carpenter at the time of his death.
