Notes for: John Newton Bodine

A birth date of July 15, 1866 comes from somewhere; however, he was only eleven at the time of the 1880 Census in Camden Co., MO. The census is usually in June; so I would guess he was born in 1868. RB has his birth date as Nov. 18, 1868. I'll go with that.

John Bodine, age 11, was living with his parents 1880 in Camden County, Missouri. In 1910, he lived in Bilby, Hughes County, Oklahoma. He reported he was a farmer, had been married 19 years and his wife had borne 8 children of whom 6 were still living, all with them at the time. In 1930, Sarah Bodine, age 60, lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Ellie and Jesse Clark, in Gridley, Butte County, California. Sarah (Stults) Bodine was the daughter of Albert Martin and Caroline Louisa (Plumley) Stults. Sarah Bodine was buried in Gridley-Biggs Cemetery, Gridley, Butte County.
