Notes for: Elva Marie Bodine

Her inscription says she is the daughter of J. Archibald and Mary E. (CREM). The meaning of this "Crem" is uncertain. I had her name as Elva Bodine. Joyce Cook's web site lists it as Elvira Marie Bodine. I'll go with that for now.

I had her death date as Jan. 3, 1962, but Joyce says it is Dec. 28, 1961 at Buffalo General Hospital. Maybe the January date is her burial date.

ALBION---Elva Bodine, 55, formerly of West Barre, died yesterday (Dec. 28, 1961) in Buffalo General Hospital. She leaves several cousins in West Barre. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home at 12 Ingersoll St., Albion, with burial at the convenience of the family.
