His inscription says "[Father], Hus of Mary E. Trippensee, son of Samuel C. (CREM)." The 1915 Census of Orleans County, city of Barre, New York, gives his name as "Archibald J." He is listed as Archibald in the 1880 Census of Barre. At Joyce Cook's web site, he is listed as Joseph Archibald Bodine.

Medina--Mrs. Mary Bodine, wife of A. J. Bodine of West Barre and formerly of Medina, died Sunday in a Batavia hospital. Mrs. Bodine is survived by her husband, a twin sister, Mrs. C. L. Mix of Medina; another sister, Mrs. Leda Sohl of Akron, and two brothers, W. F. Trippensey of Newfane and F. W. Trippensey of Albion. Funeral services will take place tomorrow in the West Barre residence at 2:30 p.m. and at 3 o'clock in the Methodist Church there. Burial will be at West Barre.

ALBION---Archibald J. Bodine, 86, a former Oakfield farmer for many years, died in the Hughson Nursing Home here yesterday (April 17, 1961). He leaves a daughter, Miss Elva Bodine of Buffalo; a sister, Mrs. Clarissa B. Grinnell of Albion, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are to be announced by Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home at 12 Ingersoll St., Albion.
