John Bodine lived June 1880 in Cedar Creek, Allen County, Indiana engaged as a school teacher; June 1900 (as John Bodin) in Petoskey, Emmet County, Michigan engaged as a clergyman and reported that in 21 years of marriage his wife had borne no children; April 1910 in Highland, Madison County, Illinois working as a congregational preacher and reporting that in 31 years of marriage his wife had borne 2 children of whom 1 lived; Jan 1920 in Lennox, Macomb County, Michigan and in April 1930 in Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Michigan, now aged 71 and divorced. Emma Bodine lived elsewhere in Traverse City but reported she was a widow. John Bodine was buried in Leo Cemetery, Cedar Creek, Allen County, Indiana.

The funeral of Mrs. Emma Jane Bodine, 84, who passed away Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mts. Vera Helferich, following a two months' illness was held Monday at the Sampson Funeral Home. Rev. Philip Gregory officiated and burial was made in Oakwood cemetery.
