Ralph Long Bodine, 47, died this morning in a local hospital. While he had been under medical care for some time, his death was unexpected. He was born April 17, 1918, in Idaho. A veteran of Army service during World War II, Mr. Bodine was a plumber by occupation. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local No. 62, of Monterey. With his wife, Pauline, he made his home at 201 Crocker Ave., Pacific Grove. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Charles Ralph Bodine of Pacific Grove; his mother, Mrs. Eliza Arnold of Pacific Grove; a sister, Mrs. Idona Dixon of Escondido; a half-sister, Mrs. Betty Glenn of Salt lake City, Utah; a brother, Harvey Bodine of San Lorenzo; and a half-brother, Richard Arnold of Seaside. Funeral services are pending at the Paul Mortuary and will be announced later.

Services for Ralph Leroy Bodine will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Paul Funeral Chapel, with Bishop Lynn R. Hanson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pacific Grove officiating. Burial will follow in El Carmelo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Arnold, Ronald Glenn, Dan Dixon, Harvey Bodine, Frank Lemos and Robin Medany. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bodine, a resident of Pacific Grove for the past 36 years, died unexpectedly yesterday in a local hospital.
