On 12 Sept 1918, L. D. Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Kalkaska County, Michigan. He reported he was born 19 May 1882, that Matilda Gustave Bodine, his wife, was his next of kin and his occupation was that of a minister. In 1920, the couple lived in Bruce Township, Chippawa County, Michigan with their 5-year old son Charles. He gave his occupation as clergyman. In 1930, the family lived in Belding, Ionia County, Michigan where L. D. reported he was a minister in the Free Methodist Church. L. D. and Matilda Bodine were buried in Fairview Cemetery, Manton, Wexford County. Matilda (Lindberg) Bodine was the daughter of Hans P. and Blenda (Lans) Lindberg.
