This info is from the Free Methodist Church of North America's Marston Memorial Historical Center in Indianapolis, IN: Bodine--Rev. John N., born February 13, 1877, in Indiana, died at Alma, Michigan, July 6, 1961. After his conversion and call to the ministry, he served the North Michigan and California conferences as pastor for thirty-five years. Surviving are his second wife Leah, and two sons. Funeral in charge of E. W. Price, sermon by the writer. H. D. V. Fleck.

John Bodine lived with his family 1910 in Sault St. Marie, Chippewa County, Michigan where he was engaged as a clegyman. He reported that in 14 years of marriage his wife had borne 2 children, both of whom were then living with them. In 1940, he and his wife lived in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, California where he worked as a painter.

Ripon, June 25.---Funeral services for Mrs. Dora E. Bodine, 63, were held Monday afternoon in the Free Methodist Church with Rev. Victor C. Lundgren officiating. She was the wife of John Nelson Bodine and mother of Clayton H. Bodine of Ripon and Claud E. Bodine of Turlock. She was a native of Michigan and had lived in Ripon but a short time. Interment was in the Ripon Cemetery. [Note: Her grave is unmarked.]
