The marriage of N. Stewart Colman and Emily Pancoast Bodine was reported in the New York Herald of 5 Dec 1890. In 1900, Nathan and Emily Coleman lived in Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey where Nathan worked as secretary of a mulling company. The family reported no children after 9 years of marriage. Living with the couple was Emily's sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Edward Cowdrey. In 1910, Emily P. Coleman, now a widow, lived in Montclair, Essex County. Her household included her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Katharine and Carl Hassforther.

COLMAN--At Montclair, N.J., on Friday, April 13, 1928, Emily Bodine, widow of Nathan S. Colman, in her seventy-seventh year. Funeral services will be held at her home, 49 North Fullerton Av., Montclair, on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
