Hi Dave
...family members and their birth dates - see Larry's Notes page.
My dad had a twin brother named Arthur Bodine, but as far as I know they just had the one given name for him.
y Dad was born in TX, and my mother in Louisiana. They married when he was 17 and she was 19. Dad worked as an airplane mechanic in TX for the first few years of their marriage. Some time after that they moved to Arizona where he did some farming, picked cotton, and worked for the W.P.A.doing road work. I was born during the stay in Pima Grahm Co Arizona. We moved to Miami Arizona in 1941. During the War years dad worked as a watchmen for the copper mines. He worked there until 1946, the year that he died.
Parley is still alive. He lives in Globe Arizona, but his wife Nomi died 31 Dec 1997 in Yuma Arizona.
I hope this information helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY
KARL BODINE

Obituary, Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, Utah) of 10 Feb 2012.
Rose Marie Pazell Bodine passed away, due to age related causes, on February 7, 2012 at the age of 84, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born January 18, 1928 to Mate Pazell and Mary Niksic Pazell in Highland Boy, Bingham Canyon, Utah. She was the 10th of 14 children. Rose married her sweetheart, Karl Oscar Bodine, September 17, 1948 in Salt Lake City and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Rose worked off and on during her lifetime and provided bookkeeping services for her husband's several businesses but she was mostly a life-long homemaker providing a loving, nurturing home for her husband and children. She loved and adored her 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren and wanted to have them in her home at every opportunity. Everyone loved staying with Grandma and always loved her sumptuous, bounteous meals when all the family would gather in her home. She was a wonderful cook. Karl and Rose were generous, opening their hearts and home to many. She was always busy helping someone, transporting friends to an appointment, or doing whatever she could for those who needed help. A convert toThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served in the Relief Society and Primary in many varied callings throughout the years. Karl and Rose served a mission for their Church in the member locator department. They served in the Temple in a sealing group for many years. She will be missed by all who knew her and were served by her generosity and loving spirit. She is especially missed by her loving and attentive husband and their children: Larry Bodine (Gaylene), Karen Wardle (Steve), and Tamara Bodine who provided especially loving care over the past months; and her grandchildren, Kimberly, Preston, Bret, Lindsay, Kelcie, Brad, and Erin and great-grandchildren; sisters Elma Sims (George), Eva Benis (John), Lucille Markus, and brother, Matt Pazell (Mary). She is preceded in death by her parents, many siblings, and grand-daughter, Shayanne. A viewing will be held in her honor on Sunday, February 12, 2012, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2012, 11 a.m. at the Little Cottonwood 5th Ward, 6350 So. Rodeo Lane (1550 East) with a viewing held from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services. Obituary, Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, Utah) of 6 Jan 2013.
Karl Oscar Bodine passed away suddenly on January 4, 2013 at the age of 85, at his home. Karl was born September 19, 1927 to Oscar Bodine and Lue Armilda Harris Bodine in Pima, Arizona. He was the youngest of 7 children. Karl married his sweetheart, Rose Marie Pazell, September 17, 1948 in Salt Lake City and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Karl had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned several successful businesses throughout his lifetime with his partner and bother-in-law, Bill Pino. But his greatest, most lasting achievement was the legacy he left his family. He was always there to help anyone in need. All a person had to do is mention a need and Karl was right there the next day to get started on the project. He worked on every one of his children's and grandchildren's houses, building basements, remodeling, or doing whatever was necessary. If anyone had a problem with their car, they called Dad or Grandpa and he would fix it up. He could fix just about everything and always had a way to rig something to get the job done. Karl and Rose were generous, opening their hearts and home to many. He would give a person the shirt off his back if they needed it. Karl served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints throughout the years including the Young Men's Program, High Council, and Bishop of the student ward at Salt Lake Community College. He helped develop the Timberlane Camp property for the Taylorsville Stakes. He donated countless hours building church ward buildings before he became an active member of the Church. Karl and Rose served a mission for their Church in the member locator department. They served in the Temple in a sealing group for many years. Karl loved sports and played tennis until he could no longer play. Later in life he was an avid genealogist. He dearly missed his sweetheart, Rose, who preceded him in death 11 months earlier and we know their reunion will be sweet. He will be missed by all who knew him and were served by his generosity and loving spirit. He is especially missed by his loving children: Larry Bodine (Gaylene), Karen Wardle (Steve), and Tamara Bodine who provided especially loving care over the past months in Mom's absence; and his grandchildren, Kimberly, Preston, Bret, Lindsay, Kelcie, Brad, and Erin and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Rose; his parents, siblings, and granddaughter, Shayanne. A viewing will be held in his honor on Monday, January 7th, from 6-8 p.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 8th at the Little Cottonwood 5th Ward at 11 a.m. at 6350 So. Rodeo Lane (1550 East) with a viewing held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
