Leslie and Arda High were buried in Pinal Cemetery, Central Heights, Gila County, Arizona. Leslie High was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Arda Loraine Bodine High, born on Nov. 21, 1933 in Glenbar, Ariz., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Jan. 22, 2013 in Mesa, Ariz. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Bodine Walker of Tucson; her children, Michael (Susan) Hernandez of Globe, Patricia Hernandez of Mesa, Edward Hernandez of Miami, Jenefer (John) Ukleya of Leavenworth, Kansas, Carter (Deb) Hernandez of Mesa, Helen Hernandez of Chandler; her companion, Jim Draper; her special caregiver, Johnna Kemper; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Arda was an avid seamstress. She loved to restore Cabbage Patch Dolls, creating unique clothing and accessories for them and donating them to her church and the Child Crisis Center in Mesa. She loved antiques and she enjoyed the hunt for unique piggy banks, reading and watching movies. She liked baking and sharing, but not cooking. Arda believed that you should start the day with chocolate. Arda was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Loraine; her husband, Leslie High, her brother, Bill; and her son, Jeffery. Visitation was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28 in the Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4247 E. Broadway, Claypool, Ariz. Funeral services followed at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Claypool, Ariz. Interment at Pinal Cemetery, Central Heights, Ariz. Funeral arrangements for Ardis Loraine Bodine High were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
