ST. GEORGE, Utah -- Bill Glenn Bodine, age 74, passed October 12th, quietly at home. He was born in Miami, Arizona to Arthur and Lorraine Bodine on November 17, 1929. Bill was raised in Miami, Arizona , attended Arizona State University, served in the Northern States Mission in 1950 - 1952, and graduated with a Master's in Education from Brigham Young University. Bill worked in the church education system for 18 years and then moved to Pinetop, Arizona where he owned and operated Paul Bunyan's Sawmill. In 1980 he moved to St. George where he spent 20 years teaching Industrial Arts for Dixie High School and retired from the Washington County School District in 2000. Teaching was his love and passion. During his years teaching seminary and institute, as well as his time in the Washington School District, he was a strong positive influence to many students. He also loved to play golf, travel and spend time with his family and friends. Bill is survived by his wife Sharon Bodine, who is currently living in St. George, Utah. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, 10 children, 39 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Angela Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held October 16, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Bloomington Hills Stake Center on Brigham Road. Friends may attend a viewing on October 15th, 2004 from 6-8 PM at Heideman Mortuary, 170 S. Mall Drive, St. George, Utah. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery following the funeral services. We want to offer special thanks to IHC Hospice as well as to all the friends and family who have provided such special care to Bill during the final weeks of his time on earth.
