Rosalie Bodine was living with her parents in 1870. In 1880, as Ada R. Bodine, age 15, she worked as a servant for Benjamin and Rebecca Fling in the Broad Run District of Loudoun County. The record of her marriage names her as Ada R. L. Bodine, age 18 and her husband as Richard Powers, age 33. Her marriage was also reported in the Leesburg "The Mirror" of 24 June 1886 as "Married: on the 15th of June, at Mt. Hope Church, Mr. R. W. A. Power and Miss Ada Bodine." Her death in the records of Loudoun County names her as Ada Power, age 24, daughter of H. H. and Jane (Solomon) Bodine and wife of Rev. A. Power. Born in Farmwell, she died there of consumption.
Richard Power was the son of Robert and Arminda (Gheen) Power. His sister, Margaret Ann Power, married Ada Bodine's uncle, John Washington Bodine. On 7 June 1894 in Loudoun County, Richard W. A. Power married Mary Virginia Wynkoop with whom he lived 1910 in Leesburg, Virginia. In 1930, Richard W. Power, aged 76, lived with his son, Bernard, in Falls Church, Arlington County, Virginia.
From Virginia Death Certificate of Richard W. A. Power, widower of Mary V. Wynkorp, born 20 Feb 1853 in Loudoun County, Virginia, died 24 Jan 1937 in Arlington County and buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Informant was Bernard B. Power of East Falls Church, Virginia.
