Notes for: Daniel Bodin

Daniel Bodin was supposedly born in Medis. He was left in charge of the Dumont family of Medis when his father settled in London. He married Marie, daughter of Andre Croise, of Valenciennes on July 30, 1637 in London. His eldest three children were born in London. He returned to Medis and died there September 3, 1658. He may be the father of Jean of Medis, but this is doubtful. It has not been substantiated and may have even been fabricated by an earlier genealogist, Gustav Anjou.

Note by a researcher on falsified records: Any information on this family probably refers to fictional records cited by Dr. Gustav Anjou, not records he falsified and placed in any archive. Basically, if the evidence did not exist, he created whatever was necessary to make it seem logical.
